Ventureboard Magnetic Travel Chess Set FAQs

The pieces are strongly magnetized with neodymium magnets that bind them to all parts of the chess board and storage area. This means that they will stay put through most adventures you might go on, short of directly dropping Ventureboard onto a hard surface from over a foot up, your game will stay in place.

While they might touch each other when Ventureboard is rolled up, pieces will never move each other off of their respective chess squares. This means that your game will be saved regardless of the game state.

Captured pieces can be stored at either end, where the magnetic pieces stick just as well.

Large embedded neodymium magnets on both ends hold the board closed, more strongly that probably any other chess board on the market.

The bag included with Ventureboard is water-resistant, such that if you spilled something on it or took it out in a rainstorm, the Ventureboard inside would stay dry. It is not water-proof to the point that submerging the bag in a pool would keep the inside dry.

The material of the bag is water-resistant synthetic fiber, the material of chess pieces and boards is ABS, and the material of metal board is stainless iron 430. Magnets are all neodymium.
